Reports in France suggest that Springbok scrumhalf Cobus Reinach could soon seal a big-money move to French Top 14 side Montpellier.
According to Midi Olympique, Montpellier are in discussions to sign Reinach from the Northampton Saints for the 2020-21 season. The report suggests that Montpellier have tabled an offer of €48,000 (R789,590) per month.

Should the 29-year-old decide to move to France, it would come as a big blow for the Saints. Reinach has been with the English club since 2017 and scored 12 tries last season to help Northampton reach the semi-finals.
Montpellier have a large South African contingent in their squad, including the Du Plessis brothers Bismarck and Jannie, Jan Serfontein and Johan Goosen. The club has also signed Bok flyhalf Handre Pollard, who will link up with the team after returning from the World Cup.
Reinach made two appearances during the Springboks’ World Cup campaign, writing himself into history by scoring the tournament’s fastest hat-trick of tries against Canada in the pool stages.
