Paarl Boys’ High and Western Province U18 lock Adrian Alberts is set to sign for the Lions.
Alberts, who has been called up to the SA Schools side for the U18 international series in August, will follow his high school coach Sean Erasmus to Johannesburg.
The 101kg forward has lived in Johannesburg, Melbourne and Paarl and played for Western Province at U13, U16 and U18 levels.
Alberts was selected for the SA Schools side last year, making an appearance against Wales before being ruled out of the rest of the series with a concussion.
