England have suffered a late blow ahead of their Test against the Springboks with Manu Tuilagi ruled out due to a groin injury.
Tuilagi was set to make his first Test appearance since 2016 from the bench but it was confirmed on Friday that he will join the lengthy injury list for England.
Chris Ashton has been named as Tuilagi’s replacement and the Sale Sharks wing could come on to the field for his first England appearance since 2014.
