The Springboks could climb to third place on the World Rugby rankings with a big win against the All Blacks in Pretoria on Saturday.
The hosts, who last beat the All Blacks at home in 2014, currently sit in fifth position after victories against New Zealand in Wellington and Australia in Port Elizabeth.
According to World Rugby CEO Brett Gosper, should the Springboks beat the All Blacks by 15-plus points at Loftus, they will climb above both England and Wales in the rankings.
Meanwhile, Argentina could rise above the Wallabies for the first time in 10 years should they beat the Australians in Salta. A win would take Argentina into seventh place, the highest they have been since 2016.
