The Stormers could be without captain Steven Kitshoff, Herschel Jantjies and Jamie Roberts when Vodacom Super Rugby resumes.
On the back of their 24-14 defeat by the Sharks, the Stormers have been hit by more bad news according to Netwerk24.
The reputable website reports that the Cape side could lose Springbok duo Kitshoff and Jantjies for up to four months due to injuries.
Kitshoff suffered a torn chest muscle and while it was initially thought he would only be out of action for about six weeks, it is now estimated that he will be sidelined for four months.
Jantjies broke his leg at Kings Park and will be out for three to four months.
Roberts didn’t sustain an injury, but his services could be lost to the Stormers as well. The former Wales centre may have to return to the United Kingdom to renew his visa, but there are understandably concerns around the government’s imposed travel bans.

It doesn’t stop there. Flyhalf Jean-Luc du Plessis sustained a rib knock against the Sharks, but the severity of his injury is unclear at this stage.
To make matters worse, flank Johan du Toit faces a lengthy ban after he was cited for his dangerous aerial challenge on Louis Schreuder.
The Stormers are already with Springbok trio Siya Kolisi, Pieter-Steph du Toit and Bongi Mbonambi, who are all injured.
It remains unclear when Super Rugby will resume, because the tournament has been suspended indefinitely as a precautionary measure due to Covid-19.
