All Blacks coach Ian Foster has unveiled three of his four assistant coaches, including the experienced John Plumtree.
Foster was appointed as the new All Blacks head coach last week and on Thursday confirmed that Plumtree, Scott McLeod and Greg Feek will join his management team.
Plumtree has been brought in as the forwards coach and appointed as one of three national selectors, while Scott McLeod continues as defence coach and Feed will be the scrum coach.
The fourth assistant will be Brad Mooar, with New Zealand Rugby believed to be negotiating with Welsh club Scarlets to have him released from his contract.
‘They’re all outstanding coaches in their own right, and we’ll have new voices and fresh ideas in the All Blacks, which will be really stimulating for everyone, and help us grow as we enter a new era,’ Foster said.
‘We’ve been able to get some skill sets that are going to be vital in helping where the All Blacks go in a number of areas.’
He has also convinced former All Blacks great Grant Fox to stay on as a selector for at least one more year, with the well-travelled Plumtree joining them on the three-man selection panel.
