Matera to front Wallabies

Pablo Matera hands off Kurtley Beale Pablo Matera
Published on September 13, 2018

Argentina coach Mario Ledesma has made three changes and a positional switch ahead of the clash against Australia on the Gold Coast.

Flank Pablo Matera returns to the starting side after playing off the bench against the All Blacks in Nelson last week. Tomas Lezana has dropped out of the matchday squad.

Ledesma has opted to tweak his front row for this fixture. Santiago Medrano will start at tighthead while Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro, who started at No 3 last week, will move across to loosehead.

The only change to the starting backline sees Gonzalo Bertranou replacing Martin Landajo at scrumhalf.

Subs: 16 Julian Montoya, 17 Santiago Garcia Botta, 18 Juan Pablo Zeiss, 19 Matías Alemanno, 20 Juan Manuel Leguizamon, 21 Martin Landajo, 22 Bautista Ezcurra, 23 Juan Cruz Mallia.
