Lock Sintu Manjezi has recovered from a shoulder injury in the nick of time to be included in the Cheetahs 26-man squad for their three-game tour of Europe.

Manjezi sustained a shoulder knock during the first PRO14 derby of the season between the Cheetahs and Kings a fortnight ago and was subsequently ruled out of the sides’ return fixture last week.

But the Cheetahs have confirmed on Thursday that the 24-year-old second rower has regained full fitness and will be part of the touring squad.

Craig Barry, Gerhard Olivier and Reinach Venter have been also added to the squad, with Daniel Maartens not in the travelling group after being on the bench for the Bloemfontein game.

Players not considered for selection due to injury are Justin Basson (knee), Marnus van der Merwe (knee), Oupa Mohoje (knee), Dries Swanepoel (ankle) and Anthony Volmink (calf).

The Cheetahs will face Leinster in Dublin on 15 February, followed by a clash with Ulster in Belfast on the 22nd and the Dragons in Newport on the 29th.

Cheetahs squad:

Wilmar Arnoldi, Craig Barry, Clayton Blommetjies, Aranos Coetzee, Aidon Davis, Luan de Bruin, JP du Preez, Joseph Dweba, Louis Fouche, Benhard Janse van Rensburg, Sintu Manjezi, Charles Marais, Chris Massyn, Rabz Maxwane, Tian Meyer, Gerhard Olivier, Ruan Pienaar, Junior Pokomela, Tian Schoeman, William Small-Smith, Chris Smit, Rhyno Smith, Walt Steenkamp, Boan Venter, Reinach Venter, Jasper Wiese.
