The Cheetahs are hopeful that centre Frans Steyn will be fit and available for their crucial Super Rugby Unlocked match against the Stormers at Newlands on Saturday.
Steyn was a late withdrawal from the Cheetahs team to face the Sharks on Friday due to an groin injury, which he is believed to have picked up last Tuesday.
The Cheetahs would go on to lose against the Sharks and will now be hoping to have Steyn back for their must-win game against the Stormers this weekend.
The side from Bloemfontein is expected to have more clarity on Steyn’s injury early this week, but now an official update has been provided on the extent of the player’s injury.
