1997: South Africa 61 Australia 22
Percy Montgomery scored two of SA’s eight tries in a rampant victory, which was also the last Test in charge for Springbok coach Carel du Plessis and his Wallaby counterpart Greg Smith, who were both subsequently sacked.
2001: South Africa 20 Australia 15
Bok skipper Bobby Skinstad scored the only try of the match, with Australia’s points coming via penalties kicked by Matt Burke and Manny Edmonds, in what was Eddie Jones’ first Test as Australia coach.
2005: South Africa 22 Australia 16
George Smith scored on the stroke of half time to give the visitors a 13-6 lead, but Montgomery kicked his Test tally to over 500 points and Andre Pretorius booted a late drop goal to help guide the Boks to glory.
2010: South Africa 44 Australia 31
The Wallabies scored three tries in the first 10 minutes and led 21-7, but the Boks produced a stunning comeback in a high-scoring thriller to earn their first win of the 2010 Tri Nations.
2012: South Africa 31 Australia 8
This was the Bryan Habana show, as the legendary Bok winger scored a hat-trick in a resounding five-tries-to-one victory for the Boks in the inaugural Rugby Championship.
2016: South Africa 18 Australia 10
The Aussies established a 10-3 lead after a Bernard Foley penalty and a debut Test try to Scott Sio, but the men in green and gold turned the match into a grind and rode Morne Steyn’s boot to victory.
