Beast Mtawarira says the Sharks want to show what they are capable of during Saturday’s Super Rugby quarter-final against the Crusaders in Christchurch.
The loosehead prop will play his 150th game for the Sharks having won his 100th cap for the Springboks against England in June.

The 32-year-old, who made his Super Rugby debut in 2007, said he has always used the Crusaders scrum as a yardstick.
‘They’re very tough,’ Mtawarira told Stuff.co.nz. ‘I have massive respect for a guy like Owen Franks. We’ve been bumping heads for a long time now.
‘I think Greg Somerville [former Crusaders and All Blacks prop], taught me a few lessons when I started playing for the Boks.’

The Sharks have had an inconsistent campaign but Mtawarira insists that they can reconstruct what the class of 2014 did in getting a rare win in Christchurch.
‘I think we’ve shown signs of greatness in this side, but obviously, we’ve let ourselves down at particular points of the season. I think, as a team, we’re growing. This side is coming of age. I think this weekend is an opportunity to show what we’re capable of.
‘Chances like this don’t come too often, so you must embrace the challenge,’ Mtawarira added.
