The Waratahs have officially announced the signing of Wallabies and Melbourne Rebels back Jack Maddocks ahead of the 2020 Vodacom Super Rugby season.
Maddocks was unveiled as a Waratahs player on Thursday after the two teams reached an agreement over his transfer this week.

The 22-year-old, who can play both wing and fullback, played his youth and club rugby in New South Wales before moving to the Rebels in 2017.
He made his Wallabies debut in 2018 and would play seven Test matches that year, scoring once, before his form slumped in 2019 causing him to miss out on a place in Australia’s World Cup squad.
Maddocks wanted to return to New South Wales for personal reasons, while new Waratahs coach Rob Penney has been on the lookout for a player to fill the gap left by controversial former fullback Israel Folau.
To date, Maddocks has made 34 Super Rugby appearances, scoring 19 tries during his time with the Rebels.
